I have always had interest in the 3D side of art, but I never had a reason to start exploring it. We had a tour of the clay studio for our art club but sadly we did not have time to do anything that day. But it Got me thinking about the 3D space, a few things popped into my mind. I could make a mini figure for my 1st character in D&D which was starting soon. I would be fun to make a personal chess set and explore themes inside for that and hoe all the piece work together and how to signify each difference piece to be intuitive. the 3rd thing being anything that would be a convince to me.
Going back to the second idea of making a chess set I looked at this I would not be able to go into the clay studio for a few weeks, so I decided to learn blender make use of the 3D resin printer I had access to and college. It did not take that long for me to learn the basics of blender and the 1st night I downloaded it I had a chess set that I had drawing up in blender. I went into 3D print the set, but things did not go how I planed this was a lot of things wrong with the file... so much wrong with the file. I decided to just start

I went into 3D print the set, but things did not go how I planned this was a lot of things wrong with the file... so much wrong with the file. I decided to just start over. it was in nice exercise to learn blender basis though. After that fail I wanted to print something to learn hoe the actual printing process works to I grabbed a free 3D model file from online. It was a mini figure for my dad game. here is the piece.

it printed put good and I will start to paint it soon. But this is where a catch up with my current self. We are planning to go into the clay studio this next week. It should be fun!
